 | HistoryIn 1976, Allen opened Foam & Fabrics Outlet in Fletcher, NC with the intent to provide a variety of fabrics and craft supplies at lower prices. In 1986, we opened Carolina Foam & Fabric, a sister store, in Swannanoa, NC. Allen's Foam & Fabrics Outlet outgrew the original two-room building and moved across the street into a 28,000 square foot location. Likewise, Carolina Foam & Fabric, now called Carolina Foam & Fabric & Home Decor expanded in 2011 and now boasts 24,000 square feet of apparel, quilting, upholstery and drapery fabric and home decor in Black Mountain, NC. With an enormous selection, we draw customers from all over the WNC region, including Asheville, Marion, Hendersonville and Brevard. While we have expanded over the years, we still maintain that friendly, small, family oriented atmosphere where our priority is building a relationship with you.
